good quality bbq and good service. in cap in a shopping center, but the interieur in much grill ambiente. would have gotten a five, but for the fact that if you raised, you can't smell the grill smoke. smoke and a buck of wood is one of the safest things to look for. many pickup trucks available, a big plus View all feedback.
What Kelly Renegar doesn't like about Little Richards Smokehouse Bbq:
Our food was cold, making it impossible to enjoy the fries, slaw, or hush puppies; some were warm, but most were not. The dishes arrived too quickly, which gave the impression that they were pre-made. This bad habit makes me hesitant to ever return, especially considering how expensive the meal was! The restaurant had its highs and lows with the dishes we tried, but overall, it was a good experience. With a diverse menu, it has the potential for greatness on future visits. We ordered the 2-meat combo for $16.99, which includes two sides and a choice of rolls or puppies. I sampled both of our plates, and here are my thoughts: **Brisket:** This was fantastic! It was thickly cut, juicy, and had great flavor, even when enjoyed on its own. The sweet dipping sauce complemented it perfectly. I’d definitely order this again. **Ribs:** These were on the smaller side. While the sauce was tasty, the meat didn’t fall off the bone as some people might expect. They were decent, but I’d probably try another meat option next time since there are so many to choose from. **Mac and Cheese:** This was cheesy heaven! It seemed baked and was wonderfully gooey and stringy. A filling and delicious side—definitely worth trying again. **Corn Fritters:** These came out a bit over-fried and were mostly breading, leaving them a bit dry. I wouldn’t recommend them. **Okra:** This was also slightly over-fried, but it was manageable. It wasn’t my favorite type. **Onion Rings:** These were soggy and not up to par. **Puppies:** You get a large portion of these, but I found them bland and dry. I think they could really use some butter—though there wasn’t any offered. I’d suggest trying the rolls instead. As mentioned, with the right combination of dishes, this place could excel. Overall, the meal was satisfying but didn't completely excite my taste buds. Our server was excellent—very attentive and quick, even with a full house. I’d rate the meal at three stars, but the great service bumps it up to four. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus. Overall, I’d say it was a pleasant experience.
Fresh food, great prices, delicious sauces, and wonderful customer service make this BBQ spot an excellent choice overall!
I have more to say! The roasted okra, baked macaroni and cheese, and corn fritters are all exceptional. The okra was fried to perfection, the macaroni and cheese had a beautifully golden topping, and the corn fritters were soft, sweet, and honestly some of the best things I’ve ever had. I loved everything! Even the banana pudding hit the spot for my sweet tooth. My mother-in-law also enjoyed her meal, including the collard greens, cornbread, fried chicken, and beans. She said everything was great too! This was truly the best meal I’ve had in ages. I’ve lived here for over a year, but since I’m far away and it can be pricey, I don’t get to go often. I highly recommend you check this place out if you get the chance. I know that when I can go back, I’ll be eating there every chance I get!
