We ate here on our one night in Xativa in February. The town was very quiet as it is out of season so the restaurant was empty apart from us. The food was fantastic, home cooked local food and we loved all the dishes the owner recommended. I took one star off my rating because the restaurant was freezing. I know its February, but owners need to sort out the heating if people are paying for food and drinks. View all feedback.
What redi91 doesn't like about La Criolla:
I was here during the Feria of Xàtiva, and the place was full of people. I chose to get a menu of 12 euros which looked convenient and good. The food took forever to come, they brought me the coke and already poured it on glass, so when the food arrived (at least 20 minutes later), the coke had no gas any longer. Really nice bar/restaurant in the old city center. Nice owner and good prices for the tasteful house wine and the great tapas.

Definitely a nice place to have your meal. Very good food and very helpful. The waiter speaks English.
We had a delicious meal at 7pm when all other restaurants are still closed the kitchen of la Criolla is open all day. We had a wonderful eggplant and delicious porc and fish dish. Just let the owner help you decide and you have a perfect meal. Good and friendly service. We are highly satisfied. Also good when you are is a hurry.
What a great find little family run place everything you want. Food is local and tasty the guys can't do enough for you,had to visit twice to make sure it wasn't a one off.
