The Owner Jimmy is great and will work very hard to give you the best experience. My wedding was a complete success because of him. He worked with me on the food, drinks, decorations. I thought I was going to have to cancel my wedding but Jimmy made my dreams come true View all feedback.
What scorpiodoesitbest doesn't like about Portcitypop-ups:
The website link is incorrect on tripadvisor. The place was just remodeled after being closed for a few weeks per owner. Limited menu, w/ just about 6 items, since they were reopening, but food was good. Husband had a meal, but I stuck to fried pickles appetizer. Parking free after 5 pm in the lot next door which is a plus since parking is a problem a block from the beach. We did not see this place at its best, so so... View all feedback.
Wow! We are locals and are pleasantly surprised. We weren’t expecting such great food and service. We will be coming again, for sure.

Chef is competent.

The venue is small but intimate. They do a good job setting the atomosphere with candle light. The calamari appetizer was flavorful, crispy-crunchy goodness and was fabulously paired with an orange marmalade. The mister and I agree that it was the best calamari we have ever eaten! Everything has a farm to table fresh feel. The lobster risoto was perfection. My mister is a big eater and even he was no match for the stone ground country style shrimp and cheesy grits.
Neat little place. Uncrowded, and they have a new chef since we ate there last time. The soup was outstanding, and the Shrimp and Grits was great as well. Always a stop for us whenever we go to Wrightsville.
