Contribute FeedbackThree Fishes presents a mixed experience for patrons seeking a casual dining atmosphere. While the extensive drink menu and reasonable prices stand out, the establishment grapples with outdated decor and cleanliness issues. Recent menu changes, particularly concerning the quality of the burger patties, have sparked disappointment among long-time visitors. Despite some positive interactions with staff, reports of unruly behavior and poor management have tainted the environment. While some enjoy the lively atmosphere and decent service, others are turned off by the overall condition of the pub and the decline in food quality, leading to calls for significant improvements.
I came to Three Fishes today for a quick dinner, and have to confess I was disappointed. It’s been a while since I had a beef burger at Wetherspoons, but when last I had one it was delicious! Freshly ground beef, thick and juicy, perfectly seasoned, you could taste the freshness in the patty. Fast forward to today and the two patty’s in this burger. They were bland, no flavour at all, and flat as a pancake. They were the consistency of something you’d find in the freezer aisle at the supermarket! When did Wetherspoons change the burger patties, and why weren’t we informed!? I imagine it is a cost cutting scheme, but in my opinion it’s really backfired, because you’ve maybe saved a little in the ingredients but you’ve also lost in quality, and considering I can go to my local supermarket and buy the same burger (in a pack of 4, for less than you’re charging for 1) why would I come to you? So as I say you’ve saved some pennies in the making of the thing, but whose still buying it? That’s not profitable Oh, the cider was good
Had the bbq burger and a beer, it was ok but too many things I could’ve made it better 1) toast the bun, it turned to mush with the bbq sauce then fell apart 2) melt the cheese, it was cold and hard, not too pleasant on a burger
First impressions were that the place needed improvements. Needs a complete renovation to come close to the better Wetherspoons. Furntiture and carpets old and worn. Toilets smell. Only good thing is the choice of drinks and prices plus service wasn't bad.
Worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Told the staff that my drink was missing from an order only to get argued with, were so rude and turned their back on us. Every time id bring it up they would carry on arguing saying were not listening to them. Even worse that this was the manager too which disappoints me being a manager myself. Disgraceful people.
Men’s toilets were swimming in urine. Leaving footprints coming out, they need to sort toilets, the customers or their plumbing and stank
