Tonight my daughter visited with a meal (not locals, but on holiday). We were told that there was a slight waiting time for food because of lack of personnel (if we don't mind waiting). Food has been ordered and we have actually not waited very long, although there are a few customers. Staff were friendly. Parking was good. The menu you had was different to that on the website. This caused real problems for a member of our party who has dementia- we had spent some time helping him prepare. The sea bass was great. Had the lamb and was tasty! had to wait long, but waitress apologised, she was very polite and efficient. I brought us a glass of water without asking, thought it was a nice touch. was busy and didn't feel enough staff in the service.
Lovely meal tonight at the Duke of York. Great service, well worth a return visit.
First time to dine in this Vintage Inn pub and we were very impressed service and atmosphere was very welcoming; food is a solid 10/10 !! Definitely coming back again to The Duke of York soon!
Booked a table fairly last minute for 8 people on a Sunday evening and had absolutely no problems. The atmosphere and decor is amazing and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious, we especially enjoyed the mushroom starter and the schnitzel. We will definitely be back when we're in the area again!
Great food with an extensive enticing menu to choose from. We had a cosy little table (24) perfect for our date! Our waitress was fantastic very friendly, as were all the staff. Great atmosphere too. We arrived at 6.00 left at closing time. We'll definitely be coming back again.
