We needed a snack or more and were lucky to be close to a place having a happy hour between 2 and 5. We ordered a lot for items from the happy hour menu. A 5 dollar beer and a 5 dollar 5 oz wine. The wine a bit of a rip since the suggested adding of 2 more ounces (now 7 oz) made it 9. I could have had 2 , 5 oz glasses for 10. So take care on that one. The truffle fries for 5 bucks was very good with a good aioli. The... View all feedback.
What Mauro Z doesn't like about Earls:
Visited the establishment with friends. Busy mid week crowds. Not disappointed in the food and service was quite friendly and efficient at first but took a nose dive after orders and drinks were delivered. Took almost 45 minutes to get the check and the disappointing part was the several hidden fees that were tacked on. Gin tonic? Extra charge for tonic.... Sub regular fries for sweet potato fries? Extra charge for t... View all feedback.
We used to love going to Earls. Their menu was good, drinks were well made and staff were generally attentive. But last night was DISAPPOINTING. The cocktails/drinks were sent back 3 times they were tasteless, watered down glasses of little more than ice. For example The Moscow mule forget tasting any alcohol we couldn’t even take any ginger beer. Awful, awful, awful. The food was less than average. Sticky toffee pudding? Nope it was a steamed chocolate pudding with barely a drizzle of caramel. Bangkok bowl? This was 1/2 a bowl of shredded iceberg lettuce and 1/2 bowl of seasoned rice with a few scattered veggies for garnish. We had to pay extra for protein $7 for maybe 1/2 a chicken breast. The server was apologetic. It wasn’t her fault she was being screwed by the bar and kitchen. Don’t really think I’ll ever be back.
Our last stop on our Anniversary date, we decided to spend the evening at Earls after a lovely movie show. As always Earls was lively and the energy high... Our server (sorry i forgot your name) immediately identified we were celebrating something and asked us to save up some space for dessert. We ordered our favs Veg Burger Vegan Bowl. As usual both items were delicious. Wifey loved the Pineapple Margarita I had beer on the tap. Overall another great time spent at Earls. Special thanks to our wonderful server for making our evening memorable
We were in the area and had been here before. It was the Happy Hour prices and foods we wee going for. I made an on line reservation which was very easy to do from your phone. Picked a tall table. When getting there I could not believe how busy it was for a Saturday afternoon. For sure it was best to reserve. We went as couples, and the tall table was a good fit for us. Seats and table height just right after a day of shopping. The happy hour menu is all we needed. Great price for an 18 oz beer. Plenty appy items and drink items on the happy hour if your a foodie. The pizzas were pretty large and decent in taste. A few types of small tacos which were tasty but the Tuna one was a bit small, but big in taste. The parm fries were very good in price and taste. I would recommend that you ask for the items to come out when they are ready. Not wait till they come out all at once as some of it was a little cool by the time you got to eat them. Still a fun and comfy place. A little loud, but that is what to expect on a Saturday afternoon. nd the staff a little slow but I think due to being busy. I would rate this between 3 and 4 stars. I would like Tripadvisor to make ratings out of 10 instead of 5.

The truffle fries for 5 bucks was very good with a good aioli. The Marghareita 8 inch pizza for 5 very good deal. We ended up with 2 different sushi rolls for 11 each, which sounds like a lot for happy hour but we only did this because another item wasn't available at the time. All and all a very good tasting for an afternoon and I would go back for happy hour. The place a little loud, not a place for a date for sure, but fun.
Surprise birthday dinner which was ruined by the waitress who told my friend outside about how many people were coming. Confusion with the tables when arrived even though called earlier in the day to check. Food was good overall, my pizza was burned and didn’t taste good. Steak frites arrived without the fries and the side of mushrooms was forgotten. Brought cake out that we brought in earlier which was nice of them, ended up having 6 employees handle our table overall which seemed a bit much, the lady who managed our table most of the evening was very nice. In the end hard to get hold of server to get our bill. Was a mediocre dinner which was a shame as we always look forward to dining at Earls. First time dining at Vaughan, Perhaps we will stick to City Centre as service and food always excellent.
