Le Vendi - Wollongong

I have always enjoyed coming to this restaurant for their fish and chips, but today we tried their gelato. The flavor was perfect and the location was great. Plus, the price was very reasonable!

The location is wonderful, but unfortunately, the restaurant is mainly run by young, inexperienced staff who do not prioritize good service. The owners should be commended for using Riverina milk, but the staff, who are often too busy chatting with each other or friends, tend to make mistakes like spilling milk, using too much powder, or taking down incorrect orders. While it's a nice spot for a coffee, I would recommend walking a bit further to a new place in the middle of the harbor where customers are treated with more respect.

This place was recommended to us by a friend as a good place to have breakfast. We weren't disappointed. The location is lovely, right on the waterfront with outdoor seating. We really enjoyed being outside in the sun especially on a cold winter's morning. There was a good choice of breakfast foods and it was all reasonably priced. It is right near a play ground which was being enjoyed by plenty of happy children. Would recommend.

Ok so we only sampled the breakfast and dinner and not the lunch but I bet that would have been good too. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and the location is great with views over the Boat harbour. An ideal place to sip a coffee and watch the world jog past. The harbour area is a hive of activity with people walking their dogs, joggers and cyclists perhaps on their way to the lighthouse near by.Le Vendi has plenty of seating, some with tables, in the park and immediately outside the cafe.Breakfast we had 2 x breakfast plates for $9.50 each. Choice of eggs (scrambled etc) bacon, tomato and fresh spinach leaves and a buttery toast. I counted three rashers of bacon. Good value all served on a cardboard plate.For dinner the main options were fish and chips but there were some burger options too. Fresh fruit salad and other prepared salads were available.We went for the flathead pack which consisted of five flathead fish tails and a good portion of chips with tartare sauce and a lemon wedge for $13.90. Again, good value.Recommend!

Located above the child friendly Belmore Basin beach the location is outstanding. Sydney visitors are amazed at the quality of the food and more so the moderate prices.
