Joe's has been there since 1977, and fuelled many nights of my four years in Wolfville. The pub fare is exactly what you'd expect, no more, and no less. My family was visiting the area and it was my choice of where to eat, so I chose Joe's. We chose to sit on the patio. Service was mediocre because our server was slow, she appeared confused at times, and because of not being immediately acknowleged. I have eaten several times at joe’s and found it usually is a decent experience. bonus that I enjoy the scott skins. this last experience was however very negatiw. my family of 4 (all 18 years old or older) made a reservation of 18:30 clock to celebrate my son and my birthday. When we arrived, it was quite rebellious. while we waited for our order to be taken, someone threw some tables behind us his full glass on the floor, on our feet. it was hard to hear, so the waiter removed his face mask to talk. when the food arrived, a part of it was overcooked and it was much more fatty than usual. before we were gone, there was another table that spilled her glass on the feet and the row-by-row group had smashed a chair. because we couldn't hear each other and were surrounded by miserable people, it wasn't exactly a positive birthday experience.

I would give this place 0 stars. We walked in, waiters took about 20 minutes to actually walk upto us, only for them to realise that they didn't even hand us a menu. After we ordered we didn't even get the right order. We ordered something else right after and it took them about an hour to give it to us and it was only a pitcher of beer. I asked for the bill and the bartender told me they were busy when the place wasn't even busy and I still haven't received it. Been sitting here for about 20 minutes. Service is absolutely garbage and as an international student I did not think I would ever experience something like this in Canada. I have seen way better service back home in third world countries. You lot should be ashamed of yourselves. Don't even call yourself a restaurant if this the kind of terrible service you offer. Also the bartender behind the bar wasn't even wearing a mask. DON'T WE LIVE IN A PANDEMIC ?? I'M PRETTY SURE THE MANDATES ARE STILL IN PLACE. IT'S NOT THE 21ST OF MARCH YET JOES.
Been enjoying this place since early 90s. Always have to stop when home. Great food, cold beer and fun staff.
I somehow accidentally rated this place 1 star, as soon as I noticed I changed it to reflect my experience appropriately!Joes was so good, I had their meatball sandwich, and it was to die for! Will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area!
