The last time we came, the wasn't sufficient staff and organization to serve customers efficiently, which did not impress us. This time round, service was smooth and dishes arrived promptly. Our family this time had four dishes: agadashi tofu, sushi/sashimi box, duck katsu curry and... View all feedback.
What CesmeTraveller doesn't like about Oisi Japanese:
I had never noticed Hoshiya before because I drive through and not to West Byfleet. However, an unexpected breakdown left me outside this restaurant which prompted first a lunch and then a return for dinner it's that good! For lunch I had a chicken... View all feedback.
They were here twice and both paint the sushi was excellent. the dark ambiente, being down, is a liitle strange, but you are slowly warm.
Best local but. I love oisi and we regularly come to lunch on the weekend away from here. I was a couple of times to lunch and dinner and eating on the most side was delicious, but we found the service and eating sometimes did not come to order, e.g. I had a hot bark dish that came cold and when I asked them to say that it can be either and that it is served cold, unless they were asking about it hot bs in relation to me, they only covered their tracks. it is the hands below the best Japanese restaurant in the Guildford/woking/byfleet area, but I hope they read this and spend a little more time on their food service beyond that the restaurant is family owned...read more

I will first say that I think I have to visit oisi again to finish my opinion; but there was a lot that they got right at my first visit the location of oisi can expose many visitors, it is between two gregarially signed computer shops (and as a cellar unit, is simply a door view photo). this makes oisi no gunst and is a scandal, because despite the first impressions, there is the good solid Japanese restaurant under this external decor onto the food we had edamame (painted their best, the beans were slimy), gyoza (both hugging and veg excellent on both countings), tempura (the fat was not hot enough so that the teig suffered more than...
Having visited Korea several times for business, I have a good understanding of what authentic Korean cuisine should taste like. On the positive side, the dishes at this restaurant were generally well-prepared. However, the major downside was the small portion sizes, particularly with the rice and noodles. The servings were not sufficient to leave one feeling satisfied. After reviewing the bill, I began to wonder if I should have just gone to a restaurant in central London instead.
The food at this restaurant is amazing and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys Japanese cuisine!
