If you ask locals, you usually get the answer: for dinner you go to the Cafe Caro (or to the Sielkrug or the harbour view) The Cafe Caro has an extensive menu and was previously also appreciated because of its typical East Frisian food and home cooking and its favorable prices. After a change of ownership in 2016, the quality is still good, but no longer comparable to the years before. Prices are average and ok, the quality of food as well.
This cafe/bar was near my hotel. I stopped for lunch and had the featured lunch of the day rouladen: excellent! Pleasant, prompt and attentive service.
The restaurants offers local food. Service ist very kind and fast. Recommandable is the fish plate. Restaurant is at the weekend quite occupied.
