What Irene L doesn't like about The Captain's Table:
Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing from the start. The outdoor tables were in need of repair, and the waitress was overly intrusive, making us feel uncomfortable. The service was extremely slow, and all the food we ordered was terrible. The mussels were flavorless and cold, and the fish and chips were soggy. We were advised to try this place, but regretted it immediately. View all feedback. What Gregsky likes about The Captain's Table:
My wife and I stopped here while driving along the coast to spot iceburgs. Service (Melissa) was fast and incredibly friendly, even though the place was packed. We both had fish and chips, a soft drink, and split a desert (sticky toffee pudding). The food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Total cost with tax (before tip) was $46. A great spot to stop if you're in the area. View all feedback.

read moreVisitors to this traditional Newfoundland eatery should be prepared for a cheerful atmosphere with friendly staff. Although food choices are somewhat limited, the quality is reasonable. From fish and chips to scallops and shrimp, the menu offers a taste of local cuisine at decent prices. A standout is the deep-fried cod, while the desserts are also worth a try. Despite some mixed reviews, this spot seems popular among locals and tourists alike, making it a solid choice for those exploring the area. Overall, if you're seeking authentic Newfoundland fare served with a smile, this might just be the place for you.
