I've been away a few times and I've never been disappointed with food or service. My only complaint is the price of a tiny side of Guacamole. I think $2 is a bit high for such a small amount, but I will get the price of bad quality every day! Great place! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about El Olivo Mexican:
The food here was good but it's not memorable. I got the Wednesday lunch special, which was the corn enchiladas with beans and rice. The beans and rice here were good. I felt like the chicken inside the enchiladas was cooked well and the cheesiness on the enchiladas was nice. It was a cheesy bite each time. I give it three stars because even though it was good it's just not as good as other Mexican places I've tried... View all feedback.
It's been years since I was in El Olivo, but it finally managed to swing with my son at noon today. It was all as good as I remember. Service was great, food was great, price was still good. Although our server was still busy our glasses and was friendly. I was so glad to visit my boy. See you soon!
The Mexican food was good , the waitress was nice and helpful, the cooker was excellent and very friendly
I like supporting local businesses and want to list the good things first: 1. One of the less expensive places open downtown in the evening (but we were the only ones there). 2. The food was relatively good. 3. We were able to sit outside. The complaints: A. It smelled funny inside the restaurant (so we opted for outside). B. The salsa was not in line with typical American tastes (but they did bring us extra chips). C. Some of the meat was chewy (but the rest of the food was good).
Enjoyed it for the cleanliness and Rebecca was a great server. She even offered us a drink refill for carryout since we still had drinks partially consumed. My spouse had hard shell beef tacos. The beef was ground and seasoned well. The shell was a soft version of corn taco my wife likes a harder shell but no big issues. The refried beans, and rice were excellent. I: mo todd had a sampler plate so I had plenty to bring home. Taco, Enchilada, and chili relleno were boxed up and served as a special meal later. Prices were average for Mexican. We both highly recommend it there.

The waitress did her job but she wasn't attentive. She did her job in that she took our order and served my boyfriend and I our food. She may not have been attentive because there were other customers there but that was my experience.
