I had their bone-in buffalo wings, and a coworker tried their Chicken Alfredo. The wings were cooked perfectly and the Buffalo sauce while tasty, could have used some more spiciness. The current level is probably fine for the average diner. My coworkerwas extremely impressed with his meal. He was surprised with the complex flavors it presented. Our server was pleasant andattentive. View all feedback.
What Scooter doesn't like about River City Grill:
Our group was staying at the Plaza Hotel this restaurant is connected to the hotel. Stoped in on Friday evening June 16 around 7:30, 18 of us, lots of empty tables. They refused to seat us. We told them we didn't have to all sit together. They still refused to seat us Will not be back! View all feedback.

A group of us were there for Saturday night dinner. The server was excellent! There was a medium sized crowd there all well spaced apart. We shared the onion rings appetizer and they came hot, crispy and not greasy. I ordered a dinner salad, withapples, raisins, walnuts and cheese on a bed of mixed greens and spinach. It came with a choice of dressings. I chose thevinaigrette. It was beautifully arranged and tasted every bit as good! Others had shredded BBQ beef on a bun, chicken alfredo, fish n chips and another pasta dish. Everyone said they liked their choices which were all beautifully presented. I have to give5 stars for the comfortable seating and general cleanliness of the different dining areas. The restrooms were spacious, wellstocked and clean! The hostess greeted us, coming and going, with smiles and conversation. Winona has needed a more upperscale dining experience and hopefully everyone will support River Cities efforts. As a postscript we wanted to repeat theexperience Sunday night, but it was closed when we arrived. Maybe a bit late at 8:30?
My family ate here last night. We ordered the duck wontons as an appetizer. They were phenomenal. They were fried perfectly golden and crisp with lovely flavor. I also ordered the beef tenderloin with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The tenderloin wascooked to melt in your mouth perfection. The asparagus was flavorful and tender crisp. The potatoes were buttery anddelicious. The waitress was friendly and attentive. My family enjoyed every moment here.
My wife and myself went here for dinner. We split an appetizer and each had a burger with sides. The wings were very flavorful and well cooked. The burgers and sides were excellent. Service was wonderful and the rest of the staff was very friendly. Maystop by and enjoy another meal this week before we are on our way. Highly recommend checking them out.
Sparse menu. When we arrived we were given a long list of items that they were out of, once we proceeded to order the poor server had to return to our table to inform us that the items which were previously available were also out now. I ended upsettling with a cobb salad and tot's, not really what I was hoping for. The meal itself was as decent as a salad and tots canbe. They have the location, they have the help, just need to work on their supplies.
