They have hot fresh pork rinds. They are made to order. When they set them on the table they're still crackling. Southwestern grilled chicken salad very good.
We started with the ahi tuna as an appetizer, which was cooked to perfection. For our main courses, two of us ordered the salmon, I chose the red snapper, and the last member of our party went with chips and queso. The in-house-made chips were delicious. All of our fish dishes were excellent, and the sauce on my snapper made it stand out even more. The Cajun rice was some of the best I've had since leaving Louisiana—perfectly seasoned, with a well-balanced flavor that was spicy without being overwhelming. The atmosphere was enjoyable, lively yet not too loud. There were a few TVs around the room, and the sound level was just right, not intrusive at all. After other diners left, their tables were promptly cleared and sanitized, so we didn’t have to worry about sticky or messy surfaces. Overall, we all had a fantastic experience, and I can definitely see myself returning to explore more of their menu!
During our vacation from Dallas, where I'm well-acquainted with gluten-free options, I had some concerns that a small town might not offer many choices or be very accommodating. I can't express how thrilled I was to be proven wrong! I was incredibly excited to see gluten-free items marked all over the menu. The food was fantastic, and we enjoyed everything we ordered: fresh pork rinds, glazed chicken with mashed potatoes and bacon Brussels sprouts, wings, and sweet potato fries. The service was excellent, and we had a great time chatting with the table next to us. If you have gluten sensitivity, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit!
I absolutely love the ambiance inside the restaurant, as well as on the covered patio and the open outdoor area. I started with the pork rinds served with jalapeño sauce, and they were fantastic—definitely enough to share among at least three people. For my main course, I had the chicken-fried steak, which came with a generous amount of gravy and seasoning, along with mashed potatoes and green beans. They also have Yuengling on tap, so I couldn't resist. I ended the meal with a caramel cheesecake to take home, which was incredibly rich and delicious, just the way I like it. I will definitely be back!
