We tried 4 restaurants around the MTS centre before the Jets game 90 minutes prior to puck drop but could not get in anywhere, desperate for anything other than over priced arena fare we headed back to the food court at Portage Place. I am absolutely blown away by the smoked brisket sandwich I had at this restaurant. It was truly one of the best brisket sandwiches I have ever had, surpassing even Texas brisket.
This charming spot is perfect for a Saturday morning breakfast! We tried the BBQ Beef Hash and loved its delightful hint of sweetness from the sauce.

A little pricy, but the quality is excellent. The owner works with his staff to get it right, and I've always thought it was worth paying top dollar from time to time for the top quality here. I recommend it, especially if the boss is willing to spring. Hours are daytime only.
