My wife and I were running errands on a Thursday evening and decided to stop at the Emerald Palace. The restaurant was busy, but not full, and the service was smooth and efficient. Our servers were polite and answered our questions easily. When my wife asked about vegetarian dishes the server shared, without our asking, that the tofu would be fried in a common deep fryer and asked if that would be OK for us. The dish... What Raphaelle Bechtelar doesn't like about Emerald Palace:
this little strip mall location has some good food although not really authentic it is tasty and reasonably priced not a place to impress dates but fine for a bubbies night out View all feedback.
Emerald Palace's battered chicken keeps my family happy. Hubby and son both love Emerald Palace's battered. There is nothing like it in the whole of Manitoba! Last night, after having had pho for dinner from Pho Hoang in Sargeant Ave., hubby asked if son wanted battered chicken for midnight snack. Hubby dialled phone and ordered a to-go. Ergo, on the way back home, we dropped by the resto. Son picked up to-go and the aroma filled the car. My peripheral vision caught a glimpse of both's subtle smiles.
The food is amazing the people are amazing. We have had may parties there. I only wish there was a second location like say on Regent. Love you and hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season.
I have gone here a couple of times with friends and the food is always fresh, delicious, and well-prepared. It's a very popular restaurant and is always crowded, so a reservation is recommended. It's not fancy, but the food makes up for the atmosphere!
I keep coming back to this restaurant again and again and have never been disappointed with the service and with the food. Buttered chicken is always part of my family's list of order. And I oh-so-love their red wine vinegar!
My aunt celebrated her birthday and had a small family gathering and ordered a bunch of trays from here. The chow mein and fried chicken was good. The fried rice was enough to serve the whole neighborhood it seemed like! My favourite was the dry ribs. The price is reasonable as well and we had enough leftovers that no one in the family will need to cook again until Christmas!
