It's true, there is a grasshopper taco, also a pho taco and some unusual vegetarian choices as well. We stuck to tradition with the carnita, and also had the Japanese fried chicken. There is a good selection of spicy sauces and a number of starters (nachos, of course, but others as well) and salads. Service was very friendly. What User doesn't like about Tacocat Taqueria:
we have a $39 groupon credit for two people. we have a good amount of food, but it had really little taste. the sweet potato friries were pretty good, but the nachos were with almost no cheese and no taste dry. the pork and...fish tacos were in order (but I wouldn't pay $8.50 per for them that is the regular menu price, but the bark, huh and soft shell basket (where is the crab? tacos had no taste at all. Excellent experience, we had five courses starting with corn chips and guacamole, baked corn, and sweet potato wedges (TRY THESE). Ordered three tacos each, all were flavoursome with a great touch of fresh salsa and lime. The churros were nicely crisp on the outside while still soft inside.
The soft shell crab taco was great, leaving a warm, flavorful taste in the mouth. However, the special kangaroo taco of the week was a standout and should be a permanent menu item! It was a work of art with a delicious blend of barbequed meat and citrus crumb that was clearly well thought out by the chef and team. I will definitely be returning to Tacocat and am surprised that it's not more popular.
I love tacos, they always hit the spot for me. The combinations offered here are unique and keep things interesting, although I did find the beef taco a bit dry. In my opinion, the prices are a bit expensive.
Fantastic real Mexican with a twist, what a delicious playful menu. Grasshopper tacos, Beef Pho tacos an incredible tequila dessert. Yum ! Will be back
Drop everything! How have I not been here yet?? The food is outstanding! The service outstanding!!! Everything.... outstanding!!! We all loved it, and cannot wait to be back!!! Highly recommend the prawn taco!! Oh and ceviche is so good! Do it!!
