We brought our two big dogs and even with cold and rain they made the experience on the terrace very pleasant. Outside is covered and heated and they were friendly beyond the dog. Service was wonderful, food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. Our only small complaint was the portion size for the soup/salad combo. Overall, highly recommended! The ambiance was great here. A great place for a date but I was really excited for the simple yet elevated menu. The food I felt could’ve been way better. The flavors didn’t balance well with the crab cake sauce, way too much buttermilk. The crab cake was crispy on the outside but so wet and mushy in the center. The Leaning Pear never disappoints! The menu is not overwhelming, but has a satisfactory variety of seasonal flavors. Absolute BEST wedge salad everywhere (the dried figs MAKE the shell). Pizzas are baked in an authentic pizza oven and have interesting and unexpected ingredients. The crab cake is delicious and enormous (definitely a deer portion). The Maurerjar cheesecake is served with fresh strawberries and a delicious Balsamico reduction sauce. We make it a point to visit twice when we are in Wimberley.
The crab cake was the best! Good food and great atmosphere! Add some live music and you’ve got it made!
Seriously. Foodie coma! I truly recommend this place if just for the mac and cheese. With bacon! Holy mother of pearl!
