Having a sharing plate lunch during last autumn while in Margaret River. We arrived late lunch hour so only our table at that Sunday. They arranged music and a couple to sing and they were so nice to chat with us. They are relocating to...More View all feedback.
What Sébastien Mathieu doesn't like about Clairault Cellar Door and Cafe:
We went for a wine tasting before lunch. It was different than normal. We were seated at a table all set up just for us and with our own wine sommelier. She was so experienced .You pay $10 each but then it is taken off any wines you...buy including with your lunch.Lunch was nice although not a lot of choice. However it was a great experience . What an amazing experience.A beautiful ambiance. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Some of the best wines I have had in Australia with the Blanc de Blanc being a standout and also highly recommend their Cabernet Sauvignon's.My fun tasting was then followed up by a meal from the restaurant and the amazing experience continued. I shared entrees and mains with friends and we absolutely loved the chefs culinary skills. We will definitely be back.
Visited Clairault Streicker with friends and enjoyed the whole experience. My favorite wines were the roses both the streicker and clairault versions and also loved the dessert wine. I'm not a wine person but our hostess Sarah was really good and has converted me to them.To top it off I then had an awesome meal outside on the balcony. Bread and entrees were delicious with the homemade biscuits being so good i bought some. The chef presented all meals at a high standard and was adaptable with my special dietary needs giving myself a main i will remember for a long time. Can totally recommend this place..
My dad and I were touring the region. Made a booking for lunch and sadly my dads fish was undercooked. The staff bent over backwards to offer him a free wine, dessert and coffee. Great atmosphere with warm fire and less busy than the other...wineries. Great food and attentive service. Highly recommend to couples and families
Absolutely loved the food and the staff were exceptional. Advertised as a Cafe and is definitely understated. Delivers first rate restaurant food ! Would definitely eat there again.
My husband and I visited here hoping it would live up to the positive reviews and we are glad we did! I booked in advance as I currently have some health related food restrictions and therefore wanted to check this was ok in advance. The...team were very accomodating; the head chef managed to put together a delicious menu for me (w a few swaps from their current autumn menu) and so my husband and I were both able to get the excellent value three courses offer. It was delicious and the ambience was delightful on a stunning sunny autumn day. Such a wonderful experience and we will visit again!
