Great spot for quality food, service, and atmosphere. Highly suggest the cheeseboard (best quality for the and the chicken salad and Turkey club. Walk around town after and enjoy the sights ?? View all feedback.
What bob hairgrove doesn't like about Buckley's Tavern:
First time here for dinner. I expected more farm to table type dishes not frozen ingredients. The chicken pot pie base was good but you could smell frozen ingredients. The peas were freezer burnt the chef stopped by and said himself they were frozen. Linguini with clams was very good....they add bacon and tomato's to it I would opt out of them next time. Pretzels way overpriced for what you get. The spicy Thai noodle... View all feedback.

I'll begin by saying that Buckley's gets four stars only because of all the years I have enjoyed going there to eat or drink. It is a staple in this area, greater Delaware and not just Centerville, but this visit was not up to par. Keep in mind that this place is mainly a tavern (read: bar) so their food is really just upscale bar food. No points against them, the food is really good. Even this trip, the food was great. However, we waited almost an hour to get our food. It was a busy Friday night and they might abs short staffed but still no excuse. We heard them tell multiple tables that the frier was backed up then that some stuff got burnt. Just not a great CX. We started with Crab, Artichoke and Spinach dip, that was really good, although we could have used more pita. We also got Onion Rings, which despite being super late, were delicious and cooked perfectly. My grandmother and my girlfriend both got Salads, that looked fine. the Crab Cake on my grandmothers salad was HUGE and pretty good (I tried it). I got The Atlantic Fluke Piccata. The fish was great but the portion was pretty small and the veggies and potatoes on the side were nothing to brag about. The waitress specifically recommended this dish but I would stick with Chicken or Steak when I go back. You should definitely give this place a try when you are in the area. The bar is really cool. I don't drink anymore but I spent many late nights in the bar room and the ambience in there is top notch.
Wow! What a marvelous place, it was recommended by friends we were so glad we made the 40 minute drive from home, because it was worth every bite! the food was delicious, I had the seared tuna for a starter, broiled crab cake for main key lime tart for desert, hubby had the mushroom flatbread (I had a bite from every plate he ordered lol, so so yummy: , Bistro steak warm Ghirardelli brownie sundae for desert omg..it is to die for! Their services was impeccable our server was very friendly. We are happy with everything, we will definatley be back!! oh and their restrooms were super duper clean ;
Excellent, kind service and the food was delicious. We tried the fried shrimp and it wasn't overcooked and lightly coated great appetizer! The sauce was delicious. I also recommend the clam chowder soup. So authentically seasoned! And finally we had the burgers, medium cooked to perfection well seasoned with crispy onions rings. And dessert ..just say yes to the apple cob! Atmosphere had a small town feel to it. It was cozy!
