My first visit to Johnny Miguel in W.P. was a delightful experience. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent! From the incredibly tender steak fajitas to the crispy fried pickles, everything was top-notch. I appreciated that they weren't shy about seasoning their dishes. The chips and salsa were particularly impressive. We ordered both entrees and appetizers, but we ended up getting full just from munching on the chips and salsa. One person in our party didn't even have room to touch their meal and ended up taking it home. The prices were a bit higher than average, but the quality of the food made it worth it. We did have to wait longer than usual, but we were informed that some dishes were being made fresh due to limited availability caused by Covid-19. The bathrooms were also clean and well-maintained. I would give this restaurant four stars, deducting a point for the wait time and prices. However, these minor inconveniences wouldn't deter me from returning in the future.

What a hidden gem! While searching for restaurants in Wills Point, Texas, a friend recommended trying Johnny Miguels. Even though it wasn't listed in the Top Ten, it definitely deserves to be! The gumbo was incredibly fresh and tasty, and the shrimp was delicious. We tried both the blackened and fried shrimp, and both were fantastic. The freshly cut fries were also a hit, and the salad was fresh and flavorful. This restaurant is perfect for families or a romantic date night, offering a variety of dishes. With a dance floor, large bar area, and karaoke, it's a must-visit spot. And just to clarify, I'm not affiliated with the family who runs the restaurant.
We had a pleasant surprise when we stopped by for a quick lunch on Sunday, as we didn't know they close early. The food was delicious, the portions generous, and the prices very reasonable. Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area.
Great service. Queso was super delicious. Good food from good people.
