Best BBQ around. The residents of Willis are very lucky to have this family-owned BBQ right next door. I have gotten to know the family and you couldn't ask for a better combination. They take time to get to know you. I highly recommend the Brisket and ribs. Enjoy!!

I give him 5 for general experience and quality of food. This is one of the TX old school BBQ joints worth traveling. It's definitely from the main loop. Owners who live on site as part of a boat store. They've been in business for 50 years and three generations. The building shows age and history. I'm counting this as a plus. The smoke infiltrated every corner of the building. There are seating in the interior, umbrella seating and open seating. Your choice. Old beer signs and photos from the past decorate the patchwork walls. It is a family business, and children of the owners played outside. Another plus IMHO. They welcomed my family and it was not busy so I actually got table service and filled my drink twice. It was relaxed and casual. The food. At first I am usually one who prefers BBQ OHNE sauce. Well smoked meat should stand alone. But my record came with her homemade sauce. And I'm glad it was. The sauce filled the meat perfectly. I would have ordered my record dry. I have ribs, brisket and chicken. The chicken was a little dry, but taste was perfect. Smoked chicken skin is usually hard and bitter IMHO. But that skin was great. The ribs were served on the bottom of the stack and all the fat and juice from the other meat. The flesh fell from the bone and was very tasteful. Brisket is usually not my favorite meat, but here it was. It was cut rather than cut and each piece had a nice piece of carburized crispy ends. They gave up a generous amount of fat I think makes the meat more moist. The brisket really brought the food home. The beans were average, but I really like the potato salad, it was cold and tangy as I like it. Perfect. The entire plate was displayed in a controlled and stacked manner. It looked really nice. Not this presentation is an expectation in a BBQ community, but it really made me really excited what I wanted to be partake.

Not only is the food delicious, the family are good people really. Please go and get some love. The ribs and brisket are my favorite.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 10 Stars THE SERVICE WAS GREAT AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS I love this family owned for years barbecue spot...... we tried the ribs,brisket, Mac and cheese, peach cobbler, potato salad........ ALL OF IT WAS GREAT. I definitely will return.
