Cafe Provencal - Williamsburg

Service was ehhh. It seemed like they were short staffed. We got the package with the Wedmore place hotel and were disappointed we got a limited food selection. But the food was amazing!!

Must go!! This was amazing. Great service and wonderful food. It was like being in Europe all over again.

Exceptional food and wine. It's located right by the Williamsburg winery, so it's perfect for local wines.<br/ My friend and I decided to grab a bite to eat after a wine tasting and it was the prefect way to cap off our visit.<br/ We had a cheese board and the Limoncello dessert. The cheese was fresh, delicious, and artistically displayed (I've been to France and live with a Frenchman-I know my cheese). The limoncello was very refreshing. <br/ The server was very polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. She knew the perfect wine pairings for the cheese we ordered. <br/ <br/ *Additional note: There are cats that occasionally roam around outside the winery and restaurant. You are not allowed to pet the cats while dining outdoors at the café (due to health safety reasons).

Hands down, this was the best dining experience that we could have asked for. The service, the food, and the atmosphere are second to none. Thank you for an amazing dinner and we will see you again, soon!

Found the restaurant to be quaint with decent culinary flares. For the Williamsburg area I would rate the Cafe Provençal an 8 out of 10. For a regional rating they are closer to a 6 out of 10. My husband's filet was seasoned and cooked well. My Salmon was ok, very fishy. The risotto was amazing. The waitstaff leaves quite a bit to be desired!! If Cafe Provençal is looking to play with the big boys they will need to upgrade to professional service staff. Our waitress had no culinary schooling only what she could read off of her order sheet! They completely missed the mark with my husband's birthday .... called ahead and informed the front of house that we were coming to celebrate his birthday.... dessert arrived and nothing.... no birthday script .... a candle??? nothing.... I expect A+ service if I am paying $140!!
