Popular place for truckers. Stopped here for a day bc out of time driving over the road and had to be off duty to comply with DOT driving laws. There are two ATM machines if you need cash. They have Popeyes. Friendly ppl. Fresh crispy chicken!Country Pride is closed down. Bummer. Really wanted to dine in for a hot meal. Hence the 4 star rating. They have two driver lounges. One on the main floor and one upstairs. Upstairs?! Yes, additionally upstairs there are laundry facilities, weight room, and showers. Everything is clean.Lots of parking for semis! You can unhook and leave your trailer here for a moment but need to get written permission at cashier’s counter, otherwise your trailer is subject to be towed away.Literally across the highway there is a mall, and several sit down restaurants, from fast food to fine dining. If we come this way again and need a place to park, we’ll stop here.
9-13-23: When I arrived there were no spots left to park in the paid parking and I already had a reservation. Trucks were parked everywhere. The security officer and their night cashier guy gave me a spot to park out front against a curb away from any traffic areas. I was woke up rudely by a woman named Angela. She had a silent observation woman with her named tagged Linda. Angela was angry and puffing on her cigarette started yelling at me to move my truck. She told me she didn’t care what Security told me because he was a hired service not an employee. After getting dressed fully and curtains put back I saw Angela and Linda smoking another cigarette by the front door on the bench. I went over to apologize to her about the incident and explain why I was there because she was so angry about it. Angela continued to puff on her cigarette and really wouldn’t let me get a word in. She also told me that she was probably going to fire the night cashier guy and security and asked if there was any other staff I’d like to identify that didn’t do their job correctly so she could fire them too. She also told me she’s been in the industry for 26 years, I told her I to have 29 years in and then I asked her why she was so angry, argumentative and confrontational with me when I was trying to apologize and explain what happened. Her response: “Because you’re being argumentative confrontational about me being argumentative confrontational!” I was a bit shocked and I admit I did chuckle out loud because it sounded so childish. I knew whatever I said after that really wouldn’t matter so I then turned to walk away and said, “Angela, Linda, I hope you two have a better day and I’ll move my truck for ya.” Angela had already given me her full name that she blurted out angrily at me when I asked her what her name was and I was able to identify her through another employee as her being the Site Manager and this person also explained that she was in charge of the whole place. I then called corporate office to express my concerns with Angela’s aggressive and unprofessional behavior towards me and her threats made to me about firing her staff members. I was apologized to by the woman taking my complaint and she told me an email was going out to the District Manager, Angela and corporate people “upstairs”, and I could expect a call. I said I didn’t want a call from Angela being how rude she was. The lady told me it’d probably be a district Manager or someone from Corporate. I’m still awaiting for that call. Angela, if you’re reading this I’d like to point out that in today’s society there are dash cams and people wearing Apple Watches that can will record your angry behaviors without you realizing it. If you can treat an owner operator that exclusively does thousands of dollars in business with TA Petro, how are you treating your employees?
Worst customer service I have experienced with over 15 years of professional driving. Their “shop” is extremely incapable of professionalism. The mark up on parts is around 30%. Cannot complete jobs in the timeframe they quoted and the facility is one of the filthiest I’ve seen. Save your time and your money. Anywhere is better than this TA location.
One of the MUCH BETTER T/As. Lots of cool stuff in the clean store. Restaurant is AWESOME although it has limited hours. Friendly people.
