We stopped at City Cafe on our way home from a road trip and found it to be conveniently located close to Route 90. We had an absolutely incredible date night at City Cafe! The two specials we ordered were out of this world. The honey sriracha crispy chicken was coated in a spicy honey sriracha sauce and served with a tomato salad, while the chicken caprese press featured grilled chicken, spinach, tomato, basil, and parmesan balsamic glaze. The chicken sandwich was definitely hot but incredibly delicious, especially with the homemade chips and fries. We were thrilled to have found this place and will definitely be returning. As a bonus, we discovered Perrier fusion drinks - the peach cherry flavor was so good that we bought some to enjoy at home.
The dining experience is always wonderful! We went out for dinner last night and everything was excellent! We tried the tacos for the first time and they have quickly become a favorite of ours. The fried pickles were also delicious. The dessert choices are always top-notch. The new extended hours are perfect for my family as it provides a safe dining option for our daughter with Celiac disease. Knowing that everything on the menu is safe for her to eat makes dining out stress-free.

City Cafe is a rare gem where my wife can choose anything from the menu, as the entire kitchen is gluten-free. The food was amazing, with my wife enjoying a fried chicken sandwich with pesto and myself opting for a burger. Don't forget to check out the bakery case for dessert - the blue cupcake we tried was delicious. We were so impressed with our meal that we are now considering making the trip to City Cafe a regular occurrence, despite it being about 90 minutes away from home.
I am thrilled to have finally dined at this restaurant! It is the only establishment in the area that offers a fully gluten and dairy free menu. The space was charming and roomy. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was fairly quick even during a busy afternoon. They also had several vegetarian and vegan options. I was pleasantly surprised by their selection of alcoholic beverages. If you dine in, you will need to order at the counter and your food will be brought to your table. While you wait, be sure to check out their bakery case which features a variety of fresh and frozen gluten and dairy free baked goods made in-house.
WOW! It's unbelievable that this place is gluten- and dairy-free. The food was excellent and enjoyed by both gluten and dairy consumers. Those in our group who follow a gluten-free diet were amazed by the food!! We returned the next morning for brunch and it was amazing again! There were many delicious pastries and to-go options available. There was a fast-moving line for the fried dough they were making that morning. Outdoor seating is also available. The owner, Noah, was very friendly and clearly passionate about his fantastic food. I would give this place ten stars!
