We came in a quiet night for an early dinner. Three food was superb. I had some of the best Yaki Udon, and Edamame. The Miso Soup and salad were also great. My partner enjoyed their Gyoza, a few Maki rolls, and pieces of Sushi. Mmmm. Serendipitous meal to be sure. View all feedback.
The food was beautifully made and tasted good too. All the sushi and sashimi were served fresh. The uni roll, spider roll, and crazy tuna roll are particularly delicious. I love the spicy calamari for an appetizer, and the fried green tea ice cream for dessert. Yum! Don't be deceived by the outside appearance. They recently went through a renovation, and the atmosphere is very nice.
There is another Japanese restaurant after visiting Round Valley Reservoir. But this one is on the same way home. So we decide to try this Japanese restaurant. It proves to be a great experience. Chirashi has a good selection of raw fish and the amount is appropriate compared to some Japanese restaurant, of which fish is as thin as paper. Nabe yaki udon is even better with chewing noodles and HUGE crispy and well roasted shrimp empura.
Aug 10, 2021 ? This was our first time dining at Domo since the pandemic struck. Not much has changed except that clear partitions have been installed between some tables. We ordered the Spicy Chicken Bento Box (includes sushi, California rolls, shrimp vegetable tempura, rice with choice of miso soup or salad) and the Gop Dol Bi Bim Bap (assorted vegetables over rice with beef and egg in a stone bowl with miso soup). Both were great. For those who have never had their meal served in a searing hot stone bowl, the rice touching the bowl is sizzling and made crispy. I suggest that you start stirring and turning the food as soon as it is brought to your table or it may burn. The service was great as always? The staff took our orders promptly and stopped by regularly to check on our drinks.
This is a great hidden Japanese sushi restaurant that also serves some tradition Japanese and Korean food. The sushi rolls are very delicious and well presented. The Hurricane roll is one of my favorites right now. Many of their rolls are unique when compared to their other rolls in the food compositions in them. For example some sushi restaurants I have gone to have the same roll over and over again with slight variations. They also have a great tea menu that has some very great teas that can go with your meal. The restaurant itself is clean and well decorated with a comfortable atmosphere.
For many years in this place. They always have a good service, and they prepare the food with care. We enjoyed the Japanese and Korean menu items. It is a BYOB, with a large wine shop next to very comfortable. Very recommended.
