This is a nice diner with great salad bar. Pumpkin Pancakes were good. Arugula Salad had romaine lettuce under Arugula. Cream of Potato soup was good but sweet. Chicken Noodle Soup didn't contain noodles. Broiled Salmon was good, grilled marinated chicken breast was very good. Roast turkey breast was processed and easily fell apart when pulled at, unlike natural turkey meat. Brother enjoyed chicken marsala with rice.... View all feedback.
What Jeffrey B doesn't like about City View Diner:
The service was great but once again the pancakes were so dry and not even hot. I was with a group so I didn't send it back. When you cut them they fell apart. I had better at McDonald's. If you can't even make pancakes maybe find another line cook. View all feedback.
I really like the new management. The owner is very friendly and makes lots of home made food. My favorites are the fish tacos and the butter cookies. Lots of food. Prices are good. Lots of parking. Great views of Allentown. Lots of seating if you have lots of people. Bar available. Most of the staff members are respectful and nice. We don't go out often but will go back to the New City View!

Tried apple cake, strawberry shortcake and pumpkin cheesecake.
This diner was kind of crappy looking on the outside, but it was clean on the inside though dated. The waitress was friendly. I placed my order for a cup of chicken noodle soup and a tuna salad sandwich on rye toast. I also asked for the french fries to be crispy. The cup of chicken noodle soup came out, barely luke warm with shells in it they were blown up like balloons. I didn't have the heart to send it back so I ate it and didn't say anything. Then my my tuna sandwich came out with cold fries. I told her the fries were cold and she said she gave me new ones. The reason I asked for crispy fries I thought maybe they'd be hot. My new fries came out and she grabs the old fries off my plate with her fingers and put the new fries on the plate. I took the first couple bites of my sandwich. Turns out the tuna salad was actually chicken salad. I mentioned it to her she said, I said chicken salad, so I just ate it, it was worst chicken salad I've ever had. Don't get me wrong. The waitress is very nice, but it was a terrible experience and I would never return to this diner. I give too many truthful review, that's why I'm not Elite. I was told I need to temper my reviews.

Came here for late night breakfast, took 1.5 hours, got meal 10 mins before they were closing. Cold as can be, waiter must've forgot. Desserts were stale and expensive. This place used to be great but not anymore.
