My husband and I shop here every Saturday. I stock up on irn bru soda for the week and shrimp chips. My husband grabs apple fritters and stroopwaffles. They have the best apple fritters anywhere made fresh each day. If you go bright and early on Saturday you might even get lucky and get a BAKED apple fritter. These ones are our favourite and only on saturdays. They go fast so you have to go early. When we feel like s... View all feedback.
What dani rose doesn't like about Village Bake Shop:
I put an order in that UPS delivered to the wrong address. After days of UPS saying it was the senders responsibility, I called and they had no idea what to do and were very short with me on the phone. The man was very cold indeed. Ended up calling my bank to resolve the matter. I was really excited about including this in a gift for my Moms birthday. Too bad. View all feedback.
Stopped by cory’s village bake shop...again... today for deli meat and their sausage rolls. amazing, how often I am living and served by cory itself. cory and his brother make an amazing work that runs their family business and never disappointed with their service and incredible products. I have dug the birthday cakes of my youngest daughter in the last month directly out of the cabinet because I forgot to order further and it was amazing! as of British decent, I love that they wear authentic British chocolate. cory, you do it with exceptional customer service, all your employees give the same incredible customer service you do.
Amazing selection of fresh baked goods. we have two of the long john’s (cream filled eclairs). there are two sorts. one was covered with chocolate and the other had a dusting of powder sugar. the chocolate-covered version was made with a very smooth chocolate goose and real whipped cream filling. both were delicious. highly recommended.
I have been a customer at the Village Bake Shop for two years now and I could not be more happy. The village bakery has so much to offer. They offer bakery products, grocery products, as well as deli products. Some bakery products they sell are cupcakes, cakes, brownies, tarts, pastries, donuts, pies, and my favourite is the apple fritters. The apple fritters are by far the best I’ve ever had. They have lots a real and delicious apples inside. The texture is soft inside, but has a nice and crunchy, sugar coated, exterior. The other bakery items come in lots of flavours, colours, and sizes. The variety is astounding. Furthermore, the environment inside the Village Bake Shop is very enjoyable. All the customers are beyond nice, and the employees offer great customer service. Everyone is so eager to help you, and it feels like a small town store inside. To wrap this up, I have no complaints whatsoever, and would definitely recommend visiting the Village Bake Shop the next time your in Whitby.
Love to visit this shop. If you're going on a Saturday, make sure you go early enough to get the fresh baked goods. There was still lots of stock, however there weren't any white dinner rolls left. Parking was hard to get, but it was worth it to make a few laps around. The store consists of a bakery, deli, staple groceries, frozen, candy, giftware, etc from the Netherlands.
