Most fast food places make me feel like garbage after eating there Hero Burger is the exception! They provide so many healthy options that you could easily eat healthy junk food . The staff is kind of awkward (and doesn 't seem like they want to be there half the time) the tables are often sticky, and its quite expensive compared to other fast food burger joints; but the burgers and sides always make up for it! If you haven 't tried their Zucchini Tempora Fries w/ Hero Sauce, you need to go grab yourself some RIGHT NOW! I love how their burgers are antibiotic and hormone free, as well!
Had lunch with my daughter. We were both pleased with our food. My veggie burger was cooked properly. Other places usually cook them as long as a regular burger and they end up being so tough and burnt on the edge. Big thumbs up. The pop machine was only dispensing diet pop but that's what we would have ordered anyway.

Of course, it will also satisfy the regular burger, fries and a Coke crowd.
We were in Durham one late evening, driving home, hungry and wondering if there was a Hero joint nearby. A quick web search and we backtracked to Whitby. It's a smallish place but bright and gleaming clean. The staff were very friendly. My bluemoon burger was done to perfection, and it was thick and juicy and tasty and had just the right amount of creamy blue cheese to make it that much more delectable. It just might be the best burger I've ever had. It's pricier than other fast food chains, but that's where the comparison ends. And it's Canadian!
A sticky, dirty table with drink cup marks on it should have been a warning. Next, the lack of PPE on the only two people working there. No gloves, no hair nets as per food service regulations. Then, menu prices. Unbelievable! The wait for food brought to the table in a paper bag for a sit-in meal ? wasn't bad, but the food was. The burger was dry, tasteless with unknown white flecks throughout. The one fry I ate had no flavor, not even salt. The only flavorful part was the Fanta Orange drink I poured for myself. Big surprise that I was ill later. This is gourmet? I think not.
