This review is specifically for the summer Mountaintop Feast Buffet at the Roundhouse. We pre-purchased tickets for my husband, son, and me; my two daughters ate free (kids under 6 are free). The food was terrific, and there was an amazing amount of choices. My husband and I were particularly impressed with the variety of salads, which were all incredibly fresh and interesting (beet salad, coleslaw with apples, Asian... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Roundhouse Lodge:
The only reason to go to this place is because you are up there and you are hungry. It is totally worth it to sit down and enjoy the views from the top of the mountain while you have something to eat.It was a little too expensive for what we got but of course it is understandable due to the logistics to get everything up there and the fact that this place is only really functioning part of the year. There are about 6 stations in the food court inside the lodge offering a good variety to choose from. I chose burger and fries and my husband the poutine. The burger was precooked and reheated on the grill. It was dried out and very unappetizing. The french fries were small pieces and over seasoned. The poutine gravy was very salty and added to the seasoned fries made it way too salty to eat. The food, for what it was, was also expensive,All in all a very poor lunch experience but the views were amazing.
I cannot believe the quality of the food on such a large scale. We ate here several times during our holiday for lunch and were delighted every time. Great for a quick lunch mid ski!
This is the main place to go when skiing on Whistler Mountain. It is always full but don't let that put you off - the food is first rate and not expensive - especially by comparison to European ski resorts.
Decent lunch options for vegetarians when on the slopes. Not particularly outstanding, but solid soups and vegan sandwiches. Thai curry soup was fairly mild - but this was perfect to leave me not feeling too heavy but re-energized to hit the slopes for many more hours. Small space - so get there early or after the noon lunch rush (place seemed to clear out by 1:15).
Terribly bland food, average service. Worst food on the mountain, though does cater for plenty of vegan and vego options which is nice
