Contribute FeedbackThe Longhorn Saloon in Whistler offers a mixed experience, with some diners raving about the amazing atmosphere, good food, and great drinks, while others express frustration over slow service and mixed-up orders. The nachos are a hit, as are the poutine, drinks, and misters on the patio. Some complaints include slow service, talking servers, and soggy jerk chicken. The stunning mountain views and upbeat atmosphere make it an ideal spot for a relaxing evening, while some diners find the interior carpet less appealing. Overall, a hit or miss experience with room for improvement in service and food quality.
As for the food, I was disappointed with the jerk chicken. I had been looking forward to trying it, but it turned out to be a letdown. The tortilla was soggy and the jerk seasoning flavor was overshadowed by the hot peppers. Many people around me had ordered the poutine and seemed to be enjoying it. I regretted not getting that instead. The service was slow and our orders were mixed up twice. I understand that the servers were struggling as no one knew which table had ordered what. I had to reject food that was not mine several times and ended up having to go inside to find cutlery and condiments myself.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is conveniently located in Whistler. It's a great spot to grab a couple of drinks, especially considering it's right across from the Whistler gondola and in a central location.
Longhorn Saloon and Grill in Whistler, nestled next to the mountains, was a welcome sight after a long day of travel from Kamloops. We arrived at 5pm and had to wait 30 minutes to get into the bar, but it was worth it. The location, ambiance, female staff, music, crowd, and food quality and portions were all excellent. Everyone in the crowd was dressed uniquely, making for a great time sitting at the bar. I highly recommend this place to all Indians.
A full sports bar with lots of games on the big screen including college basketball and NBA; premiere league football and curling!! Heaps of tables inside and plenty outside around the fire pits to keep warm.<br/ <br/ Trying a bunch of things on the menu. The jerk chicken wraps are spicy as all hell, cooled by a tasty guacamole and fresh salad. They usually come with fries but we upgraded to poutine. Those fresh cut chips, gravy and cheese... take me to heaven right now.<br/ <br/ The roast chicken is massive. Half a perfectly roasted and seasoned bird that is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The side Caesar Salad helps you avoid meat sweats. <br/ <br/ Generously poured drinks and phenomenal service. Great place to stop in.
We had California burger, Nachos, Ribs, chicken strips, chicken wrap and poutine. Overall, we enjoyed our lunch here. Music was good. Victoria, our server, was attentive. Nachos serving is huge. All burgers have either fries or salad. One feedback though, I asked for my burger to have no onions and no pickles. They forgot to remove the onions.
