Wheelers Hill Hotel Bistro

The food was very nice but the vegetables unfortunately were cold. Very disappointing as the meals on our previous visits have been great.

Had a wonderful meal with family. Hubby and I had the seniors seafood plate. Absolutely delicious. Generous portions. Others all enjoyed their meals.

So so disappointing. Never again. In fairness a busy night, however, why we should accept a cold meal. Great ambience, wonderful views, good service, but prepare for a very very disappointing cold meal.

Ordered the entree Salt and Pepper crunchy prawns(6) from specials menu. Described as”served with sesame seaweed, soy chilli and lemon $19. OMG the plate had 6 tiny prawns covered in more crunch than prawn, some wilted green stuff and bottled sweet chilli sauce. I would not normally complain but this was a rip off and certainly my bad for eating it. The worst part is that the lovely staff member took it to the manager who totally ignored the situation. Wheelers Hill whoever your manager in the bistro today, he needs to go back to customer service school and I question a chef who would even serve that plate up. If anybody is interested we had lunch at the Middle Hotel last Friday. It’s a buffet and I was surprised how good it was. Lovely fresh prawns available among a list of other offerings and all for $22 seniors price.

Awesome food great service.! Visited with a group of 19 people and all meals were fantastic and arrived quite quickly even though it was very busy at the time. Staff were extremely friendly also. Well done will definitely be returning!
