Contribute FeedbackThe restaurant received mixed reviews from customers. Some were disappointed with the quality of the food and felt it didn't live up to Italian cuisine standards. However, others praised the vegan options, delicious food, and friendly staff. Despite some negative feedback, the restaurant has potential and a warm ambiance that encourages patrons to return for another visit.
I don't know where to start with how disappointed (if not angry) I am after eating here for the first time. Good marks for the setting, ambiance and friendly staff, but it was rapidly downhill after that. The menu selections weren't great, so I went for that old reliable Pasta Carbonara. Now, I'm no connoisseur of pasta dishes, but to say I was underwhelmed would be a huge understatement. For €16 I got a handful of lukewarm spaghetti with a few pieces of bacon and parmesan shavings. I'd be generous if I gave it a one out of five for flavour, portion size, or value for money. My local pub (with a local chef) does a Chicken Tagliatelle which includes cream, pesto, herbs and a very generous amount of chicken for €3 cheaper. I'll be going there in future. Even the bottle of beer at €5.50 was (unless I'm mistaken) not a full 330ml size.
Can't recommend this restaurant enough. We had a vegan and vegetarian in our group and they were absolutely over the moon with the choices. The food was excellent on all options and as for desserts..... yum. The staff were so happy, friendly and enthusiastic and you could see they enjoyed their work. It was such a pleasure will definitely be back!!
We booked this restaurant thinking that it was the tapas restaurant that we had been to a few years ago only to discover upon arrival that they had changed to Italian cuisine. Was it the best tapas we’ve ever had? Quite possibly. Was it the best Italian food we’ve ever had? Absolutely not. I had the Carbonara and it was ok however, I would not order it again. My partner had the beef genovese. I’m unsure of how a bit of beef stew with pasta makes this an authentic Italian meal? very disappointing. The best part of this meal was the little chocolate given when we paid the bill. Save yourself the time and money and go to The Forge Italian Restaurant in Castlebridge instead.
Hidden gem in Wexford town. Fabulous food, superb service, cosy atmosphere. We both had fish dishes which were ample and very tasty. The Tiramisu desert was delicious. The wine list is extensive and well priced. The front of house team were friendly, efficient and very welcoming
Delicious, relaxed and attentive! Really warm welcome when we arrived not having booked. Our food was fresh, so tasty and more-ish. As I said to the lady owner, they need to sell their whipped olive oil butter in mainstream shops so I can have it on a daily basis! The crab gnocchi is full of of flavour, beautifully delicate but warm and comforting. Really enjoyed our evening and will definitely return! I forgot to take pics only to show how much I enjoyed my meal....if I were at home the plate would have been licked haha
