What Ronna I doesn't like about The 1761 Old Mill Restaurant & Cracker Barrel Pub & Lounge:
Beautiful restaurant and grounds... the lake has ducks and geese. The restaurant has bags of complimentary food for the ducks as you enter so that you can feed them. We were lucky to get a window seat with a view of a rushing stream. I read about their pecan rolls and corn fritters and it sounded so good that I had to get some. The pecan rolls were a disappointment. They had no flavor and were insipid. The corn fritt... View all feedback.
It was a very cool place to go and eat. It is so old and so ingenious inside and even more beautiful out. sits directly on a waterfall with ducks in the water and surroundings. You cross a bridge to get to the building (there are 2 bridges). Eating was really good the pecan sticky bread is crazy and the maize fritters were excellent also (will be free). The waitress was excellent and the blue crab ravioli was pretty good. Total experience was very good
Like so many before I said, the attitude is wonderful. What a beautiful and rustic step in time. The food was also wonderful. Tonight I had served the Teriyaki Steak Tips with the squash and a Cesar Salat. The steak tips were of a large part and cooked as ordered, well flavored. The squash was like Christmas on a fork, amazing!
A good friend recommend this restaurant and we are very happy, we went! The staff was very friendly. We ordered Calamari, crab Ravioli and shrimp Scallop Pasta and let me just say how delicious they were all. Our friend warned us on the Pecan bread and the maize fritters as we become addicted to it and he was not wrong! You're so good! It's our new favorite place now! This place is really a jewel.
A hidden gem, on the banks of the vigil river, ducks for businesses. This is a classic New England food, with some really good options. The booze was excellent, the martinis directly on target, and the burgers, salmon, Calamari and crab ravioli directly on target. A well-hidden jewel discovered by sophisticated males. You'll be happy.
No breakfast or brunch served unfortunately. But the fritters with homemade sweet cream butter and syrup was absolutely delicious with a cup of coffee. The turkey bacon wrap was also very tasty! Views were very pretty
