Sushi Ai - Westlake Village

Place closes at 10pm. Tried calling to place an order at 6pm, but no one picked up. Drove to the place, and I got inside the chef greeted us. As I was about to place my order, another employee comes up (probably the owner) and stated they are not taking orders and that they are closed. Yet they had their store sign opened for the next 15 minutes as I went to another restaurant. Terrible service.

Artful delicious! Got their Candy Roll for the 1st time pleased! I added some wasabi to each piece because the 'spicy mayo ' was quite mild. Still, very good, very well made great portion size. Would order from this restaurant again. :

I ordered baked salmon and many other sushi. Sadly, it was subpar from being clean fresh taste that I was expected. Only edible sushi was California roll and Rattlesnake sushi. I was surprised Styrofoam containers still in use and sushi wasn't even good quality. The sashimi was warm, I will not ever come here for sushi ever.

Will definitely not come here ever again. First off the sushi was cut horribly, each piece was a different size. The temperature was also off and their baked sushi had an after taste. The sushi rice was incredibly mushy (overcooked) and did not have the fragrance when properly mixed in a bamboo container with vinegar. The spicy tuna was disappointingly not spicy and the salmon roll is diced up salmon they use for the poke bowl. Supermarket sushi would be better then this place. This sushi is really delicious. I usually get the rainbow roll and everything was fresh, the person who makes them is kind and so is the person who comes to take your order. This sushi is the kind of sushi you go looking for.
