What Wendy W doesn't like about The Yarmouth House:
I don't understand why this place has been here so long, and does so well. It IS a lovely setting. But at a recent special family dinner, the service was mediocre, the host/management uninterested, the drinks not good, and the food truly bus tour level of the Cape scene. So many better places to go. View all feedback.
We're holding the cap here at least once. Always friendly service and never had a bad meal. We came with four to 34 and they were always...
As a year-round resident, Yarmouth House is one of our locations. Food is consistently large and drinks are typically good. But our last visit...
This place was okay. We were a party of 4, 2 people have Lobster Stacks, 1 Chicken Parm 1 Chicken Atlantis. The lobster in the lobster pile was...
We heard good things about the Yarmouth House, so tonight was the night to try. The place is located directly on Rt. 28 and has a lot of parking. A perfect restaurant in New England on the Cape. Has all the aromas of the sea coast along with the touch of history. An open and clean environment with perfect distance between the tables, no crowding here. Our staff was so friendly, professional and well spoken. She presented us with fresh glasses of ice water and a big smile. Split her name, a wonderful person I have to say. We ordered cocktails and they met our expectations. Thanks bar staff!. We chose the special menu and seasonal menu, both were full of delicious items. We ordered and enjoyed the bread and oil mix that was placed on our table. Wheat roll, still warm and a delicious olive oil mixture. It was pleasant. Our dinners were soon after, perfect temperature and look good. I had the Chicken Penne Alfredo, my guest had one of the specials. A seafood bouillabaisse, loaded with shrimp, two kinds of fish, mussels, scallops and a good portion of tortellini. A wonderfully designed duck. We enjoyed the whole visit. Our waiting staff stopped occasionally to make sure we were satisfied with our meals. When you visit the Cape and look for great foods that match the price, give Yarmouth House a stop. Enjoy!
First trip for me and our new baby boy. My wife was back here years ago as a child with her family on vacation. My wife remembered enjoying her time here, so we returned many years later with our own family. We're so glad we made it! It all started with a warm greeting at the door and we sat at the window to the water wheel. The atmosphere is comfortable and trendy, while still respect for vintage history. Cheryl our waitress was full of character and made her job perfect. She was nice to share some short stories of her own children with us. My wife and I loved it. She has a passion for family, food and customer service. Since it was extremely difficult to find reliable employees in today's environment, I was pleased to hear that she would see us again next year when we come back. I wish this great restaurant success for more years. We had the 3-course-son menu. I enjoyed a very full part of the chicken stall over linguini. I had a steak and cheese roll. Ready with the applespisse. Reference photos. Next time in the area you plan an early dinner and let yourself be happy. It's busy on busy days. Call if you want to check first, friendly staff will be more than happy to answer one of your questions. My wife is GF and they met a home trip on their catering. I would recommend the restaurant to offer a real GF Pasta against a rice noodle that is more of an oriental noodle.
