What Maria F doesn't like about Classico Tomato Pies:
Updating my previous review..went back this past week with a group of 10 neighbors. Service was very good. Pizza and variety of food at the table was well received. We ordered a brooklyn pizza and it was cooked perfectly. Good time by all! View all feedback.
Popped in for lunch while working near by and was pleasantly surprised. First off the lunch special is 2 slices and a drink for $6 which is fantastic. Not many decent pizza spots still offer a deal like that anymore.I had a pepperoni slice and a sausage slice. The pepperoni was a bit of a let down as it was kind of flavorless (my local pizza place uses hot/spicy pepperoni so my opinion may be a bit skewed here). The sausage slice however was very good. Great flavor from the sauce came through. The crust was thin and crispy but not too thin. All in all a solid spot to grab lunch! The atmosphere inside was very nice as well, I wouldn't mind taking the family for a sit down meal at some point in the future.
Came here for the first time. Ordered curly fries and a pepperoni pizza. The fries were pretty tasty (ate some before taking the picture). The pizza wasn’t really to my taste. Very very thin crust and too much tomato. These are personal preference issues though, not commentary on bad cooking. Preference aside, I didn’t care for it and I think the price was a few dollars too expensive. I don’t plan on coming back.
Very good family friendly place. Their pies are huge so careful when ordering, food was great.
Stopped here for lunch with a friend. I ordered a large arugula salad and the portion was good for one person to eat for lunch. My friend ordered a veggie wrap, which was greasy and had to be eaten with a fork and knife. We would definitely return, but skip the veggie wrap next time.
Steve and his crew make the best tomato pie in New Jersey. The new additions to the pie making staff have been spectacular. The food is top notch as well if you happen to venture off the pie menu.
