Friendly Staff This place saved us on New Years Eve. We kind of stumbled into it. Driving by and we just decided to pull in. Good decision. Super nice people running a locals business and serving good food and drinks. They treated us so well and there was a NYE party going on with a dance floor and karaoke. The staff brought out a bunch of free appetizers and they also gave us a free drink. Very hospitable, we didn't... View all feedback.
What Keri T doesn't like about Main Street Pub:
I'm really bummed, I was hoping for a hidden gem. Went on a Friday night, we were customers #7 and #8 so we sat at the bar. I assumed we would at least get great service as there were 2 bartenders working with a small amount of customers. I was wrong. Service was terrible, definitely felt like a burden, took forever to get served, place our order, get our food, etc. Ordered garlic Parmesan wings that ended up being r... View all feedback.
What a wonderful surprise! In town with a colleague for a conference and just looking for a quick dinner and a beer. We got way more than that. The menu was a lot better than burgers the special was linguini with clam sauce, which promised a pound of clams, and they delivered! And in a wonderful , garlicy white sauce. The baked scallops were great, too. We got there just after a large party, so the kitchen was slow, but we weren't really in any hurry, and they had pumpkin beer and good hard cider, so we were content. And the server was friendly and attentive. They had entertainment, which we weren't expecting Chet Matteson 2 guys on guitars, and they were excellent good voices, good repertoire, and some great guitar riffs. Overall, a really enjoyable evening of eating, drinking, talking and listening to music in a friendly, comfortable tavern.
My husband and I went to the Millworks Tavern after reading the amazing reviews here on Yelp, and to be honest, we found the place to be just okay. They have some interesting beers on tap, and seem to have a space set up for Karaoke and bands but we just went on a regular Wednesday night to see what the food was like. For appetizers, I had a stuffie and my husband had their chicken soup. Both were good. For dinner I had the shepherd's pie, and my husband had the chicken parm. My sheperd's pie was full of a fatty liquid below, they either didn't drain the fat from the meat, or they didn't drain the water from the corn and it mixed with butter and meat fat. Nonetheless, I literally had to drain all of the fatty liquid from my platter before eating. Service could have been more attentive, but everyone there was kind. I don't think we will be visiting this venue again unless it is for an event.
Took a chance on this place early (say 6:30-7) on a random Friday night. It was exactly what I expected-except for its location. Considering the name of the restaurant I expected it to be located in one of the million old mill buildings, not a random strip mall. Regardless ambiance was really cool and modern once you walked in. Food was exactly what you'd expect, greasy bar boot and cheap alcohol. There was only one server for the whole place which made the service slower, BUT the server was amazing! Downside they didn't have one of the craft beer I asked for initially which is annoying. Summary, if your looking for the local townie hangout this is the place to go.
I was really excited to visit this restaurant based on the reviews I read here and I'm glad I did! I came here for date night with my boyfriend who was also looking forward to it. We walked in and were surprised at how nice it is in there. Someone else mentioned it looks completely redone. They are right. It's really pretty inside. The service was great!! Our waitress Kathy was very friendly and welcoming. She got us everything we needed and was quick about it, without seeming rushed. It was also not very busy and pretty quiet which was nice, we could actually hear each other talk! I ordered the chicken Alfredo. I was surprised at how tasty it was. Everything is cooked fresh and it shows. The Alfredo sauce was delicious and I liked how there was spinach leaves in it as well. My boyfriend ordered the sunny side up burger and he really liked that as well. We also ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. That is one of my only complaints about this place. It's six mozzarella sticks for $9, that seemed a little steep to me, but they were tasty. I also wish they offered a larger craft beer selection but was happy they at least had some craft offerings on tap. (This bit is very important to the boyfriend). I ordered wine to drink and it was yummy and chilled to perfection. For dessert we had the death by chocolate and it was decadent and yummy. We left stuffed and satisfied. We will most definitely be back because it is close to home and the service was great. I think next time I will try one of their pizzas.
My wife and I went there last night for dinner. It was a pleasant surprise. Her bacon BBQ burger was cooked perfectly (medium rare) and my spaghetti and meatballs was excellent. We weren't a big fan of the calamari though. The portion was substantial, but, the calamari pieces were so tiny it was as if we were eating fried pieces of bread crumbs. However, I will say, that it was prepared nicely. We loved the mushrooms mixed in with it. A nice diversion. We will be back. And forgot to mention, they had a good selection of draft beers... Food is still good, but the service is poor
