The food was very bad. I was surprised after seeing so many good reviews. Maybe they have new cooks or it was just a bad day. But: -The orange chicken is sugar with a pinch of orange on some flavorless protein. I take it wasn't crispy because it was delivered, so it got steamed. -The mandarin shrimp was a bad soup with ketchup. -The broccoli beef was meh, maybe needed more salt. We have been going to Essence of China for years. We obviously enjoy it and dine there often. They gladly customize their meals. When I was on chemo therapy, it was the only restaurant whose food I could eat. My husband loves spicy food, so the cooks always complies with his requests. The service is outstanding and it has a very soothing atmosphere.

Food was great the server was very very nice and the price was fair

No one else at our table was*super* dissatisfied, but my food was just not good. The server was a little demure and almost coy. She did a fine job. The fried rice was not good at all. The shrimp and vegetables dish was barely fair. The veggys seemed fresh, but nothing else. In their defense, blame it on covid.... Everyone else does.

The food and service was great! We will definitely be back!
