Halton Castle Inn - West Lancashire

Food was pretty good. We had curry which was tasty and lots onthe plate. However this place is desperately in need of refurbishment, it is tatty and dated. Waiter was super friendly but bar service not so friendly..

The carvery at this restaurant is amazing, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. They also have live football on TV in case you can't find something you like on the menu, and Peter, the owner, is always willing to accommodate. The restaurant has been taken over by new management and has improved greatly since the previous owners. They offer full breakfast, lunch, and teas, as well as Sunday carverys, live bands, and disco nights. There is also a pool room, darts board, and quiz nights for entertainment. The pub has been revitalized and is now a much better place than it used to be. Don't wait too long to check it out!

Since the new management took over in March 2009, The Lock has greatly improved. They offer a full breakfast, lunch, and teas, as well as Sunday carverys, live bands, and discos. There is also a pool room, dart board, and quiz nights. This renovated pub is definitely a better option than others in the area.

The food was good at this restaurant. We ordered curry, which was delicious and plentiful. However, the establishment is in desperate need of cleaning and updating as it looks worn out. Our server was very friendly, but the bar service was lacking in friendliness.
