Bere Alston Fish And Chip Shop

Visited on holiday. Two people in front but had to wait 30 minutes for order. Food was lovely. Fish really thick and chips tasty. Food is cooked to order so just be prepared to wait.

I ordered cheeseburgers but received plain burgers instead. Really? This isn't the first time they have made mistakes, but it will definitely be the last!

Unfortunately, the food at this restaurant was below average. The sausage seemed to be precooked and dropped in batter, resulting in a dry and unfit to eat texture. The chips were undercooked and lacking in flavor, further detracting from the overall dining experience. Even the kids meals suffered the same fate, with unpleasant nuggets that went uneaten. The cleanliness of the facility also left much to be desired. After speaking with family members, I learned they now choose to dine elsewhere due to the decline in quality.

The chips at Tap Hill are fantastic, and the cheese and onion pasty is beautiful. I have never had such crispy chips or flavorful pastry. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the variety of options available at this restaurant. I didn't try the fish, but it looked great.

Brilliant quality and great staff! Served quickly, didn’t need to wait long. And for any vegetarians I highly recommend the veggie wrap!! Sublime.
