Lizard's Thicket - West Columbia

Souther comfort food. We found a small restaurant for lunch in Columbia SC Fried Okra and some turkey. Collard greens and some blackberry cobbler. Great service and nice country feel. What made me pick this place? The name of course. How can you go wrong with Lizard’s Thicket. Great job Debora!

The staff was friendly from the get go! We sat down right away when we went in for breakfast with a family of 5. And the food we ordered was done and in front of us ready to eat in less than 15mins! All of the food we ordered was amazing and very tasty. The price of our whole bill was very modest and did not give me the feeling of being over priced at all!

This was down-home Southern cooking done well. It's a super casual diner with take-out also available. It was a busy Sunday afternoon but I was able to find seating quickly. The service was fast and friendly, the food cooked well. It's a bustling little place that's perfect for a quick family dinner that includes veggies.

This location smaller than average and like many places, is having problems being fully staffed. Food was good, server appeared to be tires, or not feeling well, but service and food good. NOTE that when we left, a hand written notice on door saying dining room closed, please use drive thru. So call ahead if you are planning to dine in.

Turkey dressing good. Good portion. Squash good .. Cornbread Wayyy burnt !! Flounder good. Creamed corn terrible !!. Good tea. Great prompt service. HARD TO BEAT IN THIS DEMOCRATIC INFLATION FOR 10.99 !!!
