What m doesn't like about The Black Horse:
An ok pub. The food is not bad and reasonably priced. Staff are nice but service could be better: it all seemed a bit disorganised. We booked a table for 2:00 pm and they had already run out of some of the food we wanted to order. We had breaded mushrooms, calamari and chipolte chicken as starters, the latter actually very tasty. Our mains of posh fish (two fillets of sea bass! , hunters chicken and sirloin steak wer... View all feedback.
A lovely pub with a great atmosphere. It has a large beer garden with covered seating area. The staff are friendly especially Kim who served me. The latest menu looks great and the food was reasonably priced. The menu has all the allergies clearly listed as well as the calories. I particularly liked the caramel apple crumble pie.
Went there on Sunday for roast dinner absolutely awful it was cold all veg obviously from frozen nice pub if your cold nice open fire
Huge Ember Inns pub where we enjoyed a pint and a mixed grill one warm early afternoon. We were the only ones in at that time, but I can imagine it getting busy with drinkers and foodies alike. Would definitely return if we're ever in that area of London again, and maybe stay for more than one next time.
Live music, big screen football and also a dining area. Service was the slowest I have ever had. I was with a large group Christmas party booking all of whom had pre-ordered specific dishes. Main course over an hour after starters. Presumably a lack of available staff is the issue. That said, when the food did arrive it was tasty and well presented. Drinks were good value too and the live music was delightful (an acoustic duo doing big hit pop songs very well). Hopefully service will improve as all staff friendly and efficient but I think the kitchen was struggling on that Friday night with c. 30 diners all at same time.

The terrace area is quite large and very pleasantly done and it must be very appealing with the good weather. Overall an ok pub/rest with food as expected and reasonably priced.
