So… I’d had a few bad take aways, but decided to give Tamarind Bay one more chance and so glad I did. They’ve changed hands and now have a great new chef as well as starting an ambitious refurb of the dining room. The attitude has changed, and so has the food… my Lamb Jalfrazi had depth and many delicious layers of flavour clearly a new approach. What Natalie Krüger doesn't like about Tamarind Bay:
Ordered a takeaway from here on Saturday night via JustEat app. One of the main dishes was missing worth £7.95. Reported to JustEat and they said as it was collection, talk to restaurant. Left messages with restaurant and tried calling many times, no answer, no call back and therefore no refund! Disappointing View all feedback.
We were recently in wellington for a night and ate here on Saturday. we had not booked, so our luck at 17.30 clock the restaurant was almost empty, but they had many bookings this evening. also so they could find us a cozy table for 2 and how satisfied were we?! service excellent (rubin and friendly and eating delicious. large portions and very tasty. will eat here definitiw again when/if in wellington.
I wouldn't give stars if possible. to cut a long story short, we were there 3 hours! we waited for our food so long that we didn't want it when it came. eating is nothing special and certainly not worth 2 hours waiting. the owner I judge is insane and rude. he constantly argued with me and never even apologized for his terrible service. avoid this place!

The waiters were surly and unwilling, no warm greeting at all! They could learn a lot from the young waitresses! I agree with another review that the waiters appeared cold and arrogant. Slap menus not just on the table and go away! we pay their sons! I also booked a meal on the phone and got a curly reaction from the person who took the booking. they need to check their bills, as it was not up to in use, only one calculator, many pieces paper and a very clever cash. Dear owner, they will receive their personal, their game or word of mouth will meet their bookings
