After touring Nelson's fort stopped in for late lunch Food drinks: Over from Canada visiting cousins in Portsmouth area. I have no information as to the rooms as my cousins took me here for late lunch. Lunch was very good , portions were large , prices surprisingly reasonable. Atmosphere cozy warm and quiet. Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value View all feedback.

Stopped for Sunday lunch here after searching and seeing Google reviews of 'the best Sunday Roast '. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and the pub was well presented, but the food was just okay. Big portions but pretty basic otherwise. Not the worst, not the best! Great to see a good old country pub up and running. Food was great,a bit of a wait for it but was tasty. Lady behind bar was very friendly. Doggies allowed in as well. Service: 5 Location: 5
