Amici's Italian - Waynesville

This is the 2nd year we have been here for Valentine's Day. Judy has been our waitress both times. She is such a pleasure to have serve you. Their food is so delicious fro appetizers to the dessert. Make sure you plan ahead and make reservations of weekends especially.

So, this food is exquisite. I had Chicken Amici, which is a marsala based sauce. The aroma kept me wanting more, even when I was full. SO delicious! The bread and butter was also delightful. Maybe a bit too much...I think we had 3 baskets! ???? The atmosphere is welcoming; however, the hostess-not so much. I think this may have been an owner, but we were not greeted, nor asked if we had been there before. The hostess took forever to seat us. She appeared to just be roaming the restaurant. Until she finally stopped at the first table as you came in and chatted with the Thursday regulars. BTW, there were plenty of open tables. After being seated, our server explained the specials and took our drink order. She took forever in bringing us our drinks. It went down hill from there. We asked for refills several times. At one point, I went to the bar to request refills. Once we received our food, we requested Parmigiano and bread. ???? However, we didn't get either one of those for 15 minutes later because our server was too consumed with the regulars and gossiping with the other server. She was frantically pacing around the restaurant making faces and flinging her hair about. Once the bill came and I paid, the server frantically went to get the change and rolled her eyes at me. Overall, the food is SO worth it. However, do not be shocked if you have poor service and not due to the pandemic or lack of staff.

My husband and I have become frequent guests of Amici's. We have found it to be consistently wonderful! The food is always great and the service is top notch. My favorite entrée is the Chicken Frances. Although I order it at almost every Italian restaurant, Amici's has the best! Their Eggplant Rollatini is so good my husband ordered it as an entrée at our last visit. All the servers and their helpers are always very kind and attentive. We are looking forward to eating there in the future.

My family just moved to the area yesterday and since our place is in chaos we looked for a local place to get dinner. We picked the best place tonight. Amici 's is authentic Italian food. Hands down some of the best Italian food I 've ever had. Everything from the soup and salads, the main course to the dessert was absolutely delicious. Not only was the food amazing, but they made us feel so welcome. Even though we were very under dressed, they made us feel so comfortable. My 7 year old daughter said... well I think we found our new favorite restaurant! I really don 't think you can go wrong with anything you order!

THE BEST ITALIAN YOU CAN GET!! Judy was a fantastic server and the food was so delicious. It was obvious everything was freshly made in house. This is my new favorite place to go, 100
