Awesome food and very nice staff! I quite like the gourmet burger! Highly recommend for tourists
Since moving to this part of the world in April 2015, Gelatissimo at Watsons Bay has become our favourite little coffee spot, especially after an invigorating walk along the scenic coastal path from Vaucluse. <br/ <br/ We come here again and again because the ambience is pleasant and relaxed, especially when the sun is out. You can sit on a bar stool with the sunlight flooding in, looking out onto the streetscape outside as you sip your cappuccino and enjoy a slice of raisin toast or a muffin. For those with a sweet tooth, there are ice cream choices aplenty.<br/ <br/ Service is always polite and friendly but generally there’s only one person on duty at a time. That’s fine when it’s quiet as it is most week days but you can expect to wait if there’s a rush, and so far, I’ve only seen that once. <br/ <br/ For such a strategically placed ice creamery and coffee shop, I’m surprised that they don’t have more customers but then this is winter so I guess things will pick up as the weather warms.<br/ <br/ I joined their CLUB GELATO, and received a $5 voucher for registering my details online. But you need to spend $10 to get that $5 discount. So every time I purchase something now, I show my card to get points. I’m not sure how many points I need to get a reward or even what the rewards are, as I cannot find this info anywhere. Not even the waitress knew how it worked, when I asked her, so it remains a mystery. I guess I’ll get a pleasant surprise some time.<br/ <br/ But if you’re visiting Watson Bay you can’t go past this place for a coffee, a muffin or an ice cream, although, if you want something more substantial, you’ll need to keep walking down to the water where you’ll find Doyle’s and a few more cafes that serve lunches.
This summer don’t sell yourself short with two scoops and a waffle cone. At Watsons Bay Gelatissimo , you’re encouraged to sit down and dine in for the full gelateria experience. Their desserts are playful works of art, like Sushi Gelato , panna cotta gelato rolled in chocolate sprinkles and served with a caramel sauce that looks deceptively like soy. Or there’s Noughts Crosses , for those who like to play with their food before they eat it – this is also the best way to sample ten different scoops of the gelato range. Gelato receives a fine dining touch with the Scattered Sundae , and goes old school with the adorable Milk and Cookies . There’s something for everyone who has time to stop and smell the coffee this summer – as long as you take the time to visit Gelatissimo in Watsons Bay. I had a fantastic experience at this store! Not only was the gelato I ordered absolutely delicious but the customer service was excellent. The store manager (Lisa was very easy to talk to, super helpful and allowed me to try a bunch of flavours. Beautiful location, right up the road from the beach so great for tourists. Highly recommend and I will be back soon! :
This was my first time at Gelatissimo and I had a Chocolate Sorbet in a cone. It was absolutely delicious and the best part was that it was sugar free. I was served by a friendly and polite person and I would definitely be coming back here again.
