Been going there since the nineties with various owners. Today, January 26th, stopped in to check out the “new” Crown. What got me first was how bright it was. It has a new look. Used to be dreary but now it’s nice and bright. It looks like a different place. The food was excellent. My wife and I had breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. They also have new menus which you can actually read without a flashlight.... View all feedback.
Crown Cafe was so beautiful. My fiancé and I visited the Watertown library and decided to eat lunch on Friday and find Crown Cafe. Sepehr was super friendly, excited to serve us, and was very attentive to all people in the café. I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes and they were so fluffy and delicious! I am usually not a pancake Arta-Galbe, but these were so delicious and homemade. My fiancée ordered the grilled cheese and I never saw in my life that he had a whole sandwich and he had ZWEI! The garlic and parsley in the grilled cheese was such a nice touch I never considered when I make it myself! The whole mood was very secret and comforting. The prices are amazing and everyone works great there! We asked the food and our time there so much the owner very politely whether he could take our picture for the cafes instagram, which we were more than happy to do and now we have a sweet picture of our wonderful time in the Kroncafé! Definitely by when you are in town, or even if you are not in town! make the trip to Kroncafé and get a delicious food made by some really beautiful people:
Look at this kindness. This time the picture says everything. Hands down one of the best breakfast I had in a long time. Thank you.
They have the usual breakfast and lunch items as well as some creative inventions, including a few persian inspired dishes. I had the Persian spinach omelet consisting of spinach, rice, eggs and spices. It was really excellent, much tastier and more interesting than Spinach Florentines I had elsewhere. In addition to a saffron rice pudding, they make another dessert every week and this week they had a choice of two. I have the walnut cake that was bigger and denser than I expected and very, very good. There was also a strawberry dessert with gelatin. The saffron rice pudding is a regular menu item. The coffee was strong and very good and I am someone who grinds my own beans, so I am picky. I don't know if it's a regular thing or not, but he said that since I got the dessert, the coffee was on them what was nice, especially since it was after the fact that I had my coffee and ordered the dessert, not me as an incentive to buy the dessert. Service was very good. The gentleman in front is very attentive and solicitous and his mother is in the back of the kitchen.
Delicious. I got Persian Spinach Omelette, which was top notch. Great coffee, hash browns, and pancakes. Very friendly. Give these folks your support!
