One issue with the server was confusion over the drink order (ordered a bottle of champagne to celebrate our anniversary and was given two glasses instead). When we mentioned it, he said a second round of glasses would be cheaper than a bottle (which ended up not being the case). View all feedback.
What JohnR doesn't like about Ristorante La Perla:
Meh. Food was okay, not a great value. Wine list lacked by local standards (we also ate at Cafe Milano and Blue Duck Tavern both had significantly deeper wine lists). Not hurrying to go back given all the other options in Foggy Bottom, West End and Georgetown. View all feedback.
The restaurant and bathrooms are gorgeous and clean. The menu is extensive and diverse. Food portions are generous and served hot. The waiters appear to be mature and longtime employees of the restaurant. Our waiter was younger and seemed inexperienced but we were patient and got through the meal.
I had a great time at this restaurant. The food and atmosphere were both wonderful. The location was very convenient. The owner was charming and friendly. I especially loved the Papardelle Presidente dish – it was outstanding!
This small restaurant is situated in a fantastic location. The service is excellent, the atmosphere is delightful, the food is outstanding, and the overall experience is fantastic. I highly recommend it!
This Italian restaurant is one of the best in the country! Chef Testa is absolutely fantastic.
