What User doesn't like about Mastro's Steakhouse:
Our server dropped the ball with our drinks that took minutes to arrive after ordering and brought us the wrong drinks. Lastly, she wasn't a good communicator with the sides and the sizes. We wasted so much food, had she been more thoroughly we would have enjoyed ourselves and stayed for dessert. Been to mastro's many times and unfortunately this wasn't the best service. We were originally told that we couldn't be accommodated for a large party, so we made a few reservations in hopes that we could all sit together. We got there at reservation time which was also time for the restaurant to open. They said they could not help us to make it so that our family could sit together. Steve stepped in MAGIC happened. Not only did he rearrange the seating to accommodate us, but he also gave us a phenomenal wait staff lead by a very experienced Tee He was AWESOME!!! Thank you for making my mother's aunt's Birthdays very special!!
We had the best server in the city. We had such a great time! The food and drinks were delicious. They had one of my favorite wines. The stakes come out sizzling hot. The vibe is great. Simply put we had a great time.
Not the most attentive waitress. The music was extremely loud. The food was amazing as always, but also felt rushed by the buss boys.
Ambiance was nice but a bit too loud, my company and I had a hard time hearing each other, and so did our waitress Waitress spilt a very small amount of wine on the table, and also spilt a small bit of mashed potatoes on my pants which wasnât a big deal, and brought us a wrong side order, although we were comped for that. The fillet that was served wasnât very impressive, it was a bit more fatty than I would typically expect from a fillet, and the sear was a bit dull. Mashed potatoes were very smooth and tasteful though. The butter cake was fantastic, and I typically donât enjoy sweets. Overall the place felt a bit over priced for what I was served. Granted, itâs in the city and the place was packed so itâs reasonable to expect a premium. Had the steak not been so boring it would have justified any other inconveniences that were otherwise minor. The meal was good overall, but there are other places I enjoy more and I donât expect to return.
